Q the President

We’re thinking of a President. His dad was President first. This President’s dad had a tough act to follow in the White House. Dad wasn’t helped by his tendency to be elitist, but he was often assisted by his popular wife.

The President we're thinking about ran for office to either follow in his father's footsteps... or to avenge dad's re-election loss. Depends on who you ask, we guess.

The President we’re thinking about had the same first name as his dad. He became President after a very, very controversial election.

Now, most people would reckon that we’re talking about this guy…

Yes, it’s the John Quincy Adams line. Or, “Q – The President” for short. We’ve reproduced some vintage Q swag, and it’s on sale right now.

You’ll notice W stole his 2004 logo from Q's re-election campaign. That Karl Rove, he’s clever.

Q’s dad of course was John Adams, who had to follow George Washington. Adams was a bit elitists, but everyone loved Abby. And if you think the 2000 election was controversial, the 1828 one was perhaps even more so.
